Best I had this week. food was hot, seating for a Friday night was good, very busy. Didn't take long to get our food. waiter was great and on top of things and checked back often and got drink refills. Bourbon street chicken and shrimp was yummy! Relaxed setting and not too bright or too loud which helped me personally enjoy my birthday dinner tonight. I will be going back! I love the Bahama mama drink as well!

Our order was served quickly and their grilled chicken with mashed potato and asparagus are so tasty! Great customer service and good food! The place is clean and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Took a while to get my food but they were busy. It was good. It always bothers me to 3-4 employees lounging at the front door waiting to either seat people or open the door for those leaving. I don't get paid to stand around and talk and it bothers me to see these kids doing it.

The food was great and a good value too. My wife and I often order the 2 for $20 special. We both had steaks and shared onion rings. Everything was tasty and hot when served. Our waitress was efficient, attentive, and polite.

Very well run, Chelsea, my bartender, the best I have ever had at Applebees. Attentive,knew everyones drink, food order, smiling, Should be training other bartenders how a bar is supposed to be run. Made my night.

Great food, great service and lovely experience...We tried to book ahead because of having a party of 8, arriving after 5pm - but that was a no go. Upon arrival, we could see the place was pretty full, and abuzz with happy diners - many families ... 😊Once seated we received almost royal service - Server/hostess Madison W (Miley C's twin?) did herself and Applebee's proud. 🤗 😘

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food came promptly. Large portions neither my husband nor myself could finish our food. He had pasta with prime rib which was fantastic. I had pasta alfredo with chicken and broccoli which had very little sauce and little flavor. Would go again but I would order something different.

For a chain restaurant, this is one of the better ones. I've always had good food and drinks at this Applebees. The staff is very nice and friendly and always helpful. I recommend this Applebees.

One of the better places to grab a bite to eat in Marshalltown. Fun, attentive staff and a good atmosphere. Everything that I have ever had to eat here has been delicious and cooked to order. I would recommend eating here.

You can't ever really go wrong here with their $1 drink specials and friendly service. Food ranges from average to very good, depending on what you order and how busy they are ... but we've never had a bad server or a bad meal. Tonight they were short staffed and our server was new, but we never felt forgotten about or unappreciated, even though our wait was a bit longer than usual and we had a cranky kid in tow. Keep doin' what ya do, Applebees. (Specifically those strong $1 drinks!) 😉

Food and service was good. Had steak and 2 apps and booze drinks for under 40. Steak was a lil over and under done. Server was great and didn't bother to much. Overall good exp will be going back.

Always busy, clean upbeat atmosphere with short wait times for seating. Menu choices change, the lava cake is always good.

Applebee's is a great place to find a friendly atmosphere. Sometimes the service slow but when I go there time is something that's allowed extra for. There is no rush to order giving you and your company time to review the menu. Over all a great place!

One of my favorote places to go. I love the social setting and service is typically as good as you could get. Half price apps after 9pm and dollar alcoholic drink specials every month. Its great for the social life.

The food was good.. the staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. We went for the half priced appetizers and were a little disappointed that some of them weren't half priced. But the chicken wings and beer pretzels were good. Waitress did a good job explaining everything. I'm glad there's an applebees in marshalltown
